Pending for Processing on TRACES means the CPC-TDS system has received your 26Q return and accepted it, but the processing job that matches PAN-wise TDS details to deductee accounts has not completed yet.
Normal timelines:
- Clears in 3 to 7 working days after acceptance
- Still pending beyond 15 working days means something is stuck
Two things to check while waiting:
- In TRACES go to Statement/Payment > View Statement Status. If it moved from Uploaded to Accepted that part is done. Pending for Processing is the next stage before Final Accepted.
- Check for any conso file download errors or validation warnings in the dashboard.
If it stays stuck beyond 15 working days:
- Raise a ticket at TRACES helpdesk: Help > Raise Ticket
Late processing can also delay your deductees from seeing TDS credits in their Form 26AS. If credits are missing at the time of their ITR filing, they should download the latest AIS and cross-check. For how TDS interest under Section 201(1A) applies if there is an actual late deposit (separate from late return), see this [TDS late deposit interest guide](https://taxgarden.in/blog/section-201-1a-interest-late-tds-deposit-deduction-india)
