Reg : PDP hours revised from 25 hours to 24 hours
As you are already aware that under Regulation 48(d) of The Company Secretaries Regulations 1982 ( as amended time to time ), a student is required to attend Professional Development Programme (PDP) for 25 hours ( or be exempted therefrom ).
In connection with the above, we are to inform you that Council of institute at its 229th meeting held on 19-20 March 2015 at New Delhi, has revised it to 24 hours of PDP. It means now students applying for membership of the institute will be required to attend 24 hours of PDP only ( instead of 25 hours ) or be exempted therefrom. This will be applicable to all students who are under earlier training structure ( i.e. registered in Executive Programme on or before 31st March 2014 ).
Further, it is also clarified that all such students who have been granted exemption from undergoing 12 months / 15 months training (under earlier training structure), they are automatically exempted from attending 24 hours of PDP.
