Payment in cash transporters upto Rs 35000

As per Section 40a3, please clarify whether we can pay transporters in cash. There is one case example. Goods transport agency e.g. Shambu nath transport Company sends material in its 5 different trucks in a day and each truck has transportation G.R. value of Rs 20000. Can we pay Rs 20000/- to each truck in a day aggregating to Rs 1.00 lakh for 5 trucks. Is truck considered single person or transport company consider single person?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the application of Section 40a3 regarding cash payments to transporters. It addresses whether the Rs 35,000 daily cash limit applies to individual trucks or the transport company as a whole. The consensus is that the limit applies to the transport company, not each individual truck, meaning a maximum of Rs 35,000 can be paid in cash per day to a single transport company, regardless of the number of trucks used.

You can not pay more than 35000 in single day to one person...
Its the transport company who is considered as a single person and the amount paid individually or when aggregated to that company should not be more than 35000 in cash in a day
