Part time lecturer in colleges - which ITR

I would like to know which ITR i should use to file my returns?

Using ITR 1 does not show my lecturing income

I earn my income as a part time lecturer with 2 to 3 colleges TDS is cut under 194J

Teaching is not specified under 'profession - legal, medical, engineering or architectural profession or the profession of accountancy or technical consultancy or interior decoration or advertising or such other profession as is notified by the Board for the purposes of section 44AA or of this section"

What is the best advice for me?

Quick Summary
A part-time lecturer earning income from multiple colleges is seeking guidance on the correct Income Tax Return (ITR) form. Standard ITR-1 doesn't accommodate lecturing income, and TDS is being deducted under Section 194J. While ITR-3 is suggested due to the nature of the income (business/profession), the complexity of this form is a concern for someone not maintaining account books. The individual is exploring if this income can be declared under 'income from other sources' instead.

Though teaching is not a specified profession, it will be covered under non-specified profession. Besides tax has been deducted u/s. 194J which will be taxed under head income from business/profession. So in my opinion you should file ITR-3.

But going through all those schedules in ITR 3 are a burden and confusing especially as i am not maintaining account books - i am merely earning n income from lecturing.

Can i not add this income as income from other sources (as i did not want any deductions actual or presumtive?

No option as TDS is u/s.194J.
