Pancard

My father does not have a PAN card. Banks are insisting on PAN card for Fixed Deposit. Being a South Indian, my father's name has two initials followed by his name. PAN card application does not allow initials in first name and surname. So we put the expanded form of initials in his name. However, his ID proof and address proof carry his name with initials only. Since there is a mismatch in name as per application and name as per ID proof and address proof, his application is getting rejected. Kindly suggest the best way out to obtain a PAN card.

Thanks to all in advance.

dear sir,

u have to fill the pan form as per the details of the id which u have

please tell me the full name and initials of you father as per his ID proof. Only then I can Suggest you the right way

Agree with Sanjeev, logically when you have all proof which are indicating initial characters in name then you can take it as is. There should be no objection.
