Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to surrender a duplicate PAN card that was inadvertently issued. It explains that this often happens due to a lack of knowledge or misinformation, leading to a new PAN being applied for when an old one was misplaced. The advice provided includes visiting an NSDL TIN facilitation centre or using the online NSDL request form, followed by submission to their main office. Finally, it's recommended to visit your local assessment officer with an application and affidavit for cancellation.
Due to lack of knowledge and wrong advice from other, old pan card was misplaced and then he has applied another pan. so request you to please advice us.
Fill a form in NSDL through online "request form" then take that form along with documents to their office after verification they gives you a acknowledgement slip and you have to send that with other prescribed document as per them to the main NSDL OFFICE within 15 days after that you have to go to your assessment officer office of your locality with a request application for surrender along with all the details and a affidavit copy for cancellation / surrender of old pan
