pan card is meant to track only the income of the tax payer and not his criminal activity. but ok if at the present cost. but Rs.300/- is really not democratic.

Is it applicable to old card also..or the new CArds only....
As far as I know the new applicants will be targeted & the existing PAN Card holders just have to visit TIN-FCs to give their finger prints.
Its good for the income tax dept
