dear Mr.Suresh... there is no need of proof of date of birth for applying for pan card.

you have to attach a copy of identity proof and address proof such as voter identity card, bank passbook,etc ...alongwith form 49A.

how could you say that no DOB proof required,In PAN Card DOB is shown,so it is compulsory to produce DOB proof.

DOB can be taken from 10th class (if from CBSE Board). It consists of ur DOB proof.

U dont require any DOB Proof at the time of applying for PAN Card.

But be careful and give the correct DOB because in case u give incorrect DOB then if u want to rectify the same u have to produce the DOB proof

as all identity proof (photo proof) carry DOB, so its not asked separately. 

Miss Sushmita.... u r right that pan card carries date of birth but it is not mandatory to furnish proof of date of birth. it is duty of person who is applying for pan card to give correct date of birth for his own goodness... but proof isn't required.

you can attach only copy of Ration Card only also. No need of other proofs.

what if someone dont have a DOB,ID,Address proof,An affidavit notrasied and signed by a gazzeted officer.will it do?????

don't have need of Proof of DOB , just Ration card , Votar I Card , any any attested letter by MP/MLA will useful for Applying PAN No 

Hi,

My wife has PAN card in pre marriage name. After marriage she has applied for change in name with identity proof (Voter ID with post marriage name) and rent agreement (which is in my name) as address proof.

TIN cenre ahs rejected his application saying that marriage certificate is required for change in name. we do not have marriage certificate, but Voter ID is in post marriage name.

Please suggest.

Even you can give copy of Marrige Card also.

you should attach two types of forms.

1. id proof and 2 address proof.

1. FOR ID PROOF YOU CAN SHOW 10 OR 12 STANDARD CERTIFICATE OR DEGREE,, PASS BOOK ,RATION CARD. PASSPORT. VOTER ID CARD.

2. ADDRESS PROOF : CURRENT BILL TELEPHONE BILL, PASSBOOK,RATION CARD.. WHAT EVER YOU ARE SUBMITTING IN THAT HOUSE NUMBER SHOULD BE MENTIONED.
