DATE OF DEPOSIT OF CHEQUE/DD, SUBJECT TO CLEARANCE OF THE SAME
It should be the date of deposit of cheques only, but all prevalent banking practices use the disclaimer:- " all cheque payments are subject to clearance"! An issue could arise when the cheque deposited as such returns for many reasons!
