Opting Composition Levy in GST

A small Textile trader is having only Rs 6 lakhs yearly tournover at the max who is already registered under GST, but not opted for Composition dealer still neither filed the return. Can he opt for composition dealer now? If so plz let me know how.

no file return if trader tournover have 6 lakhs yearly

Yes... You can opt to composition scheme...

but you have to file the return till the date you didn't opt for composition scheme..

since opting composition date has been lapsed. so if u already registered and want to go for composition scheme then u have to wait till March 2018. till then have to file normal return. However if u are taking new registration then opt composition at the time of filling application at the time of registration.
