A foreign subsidiary can legally open a coaching center in India by registering as a private limited company. Key requirements include obtaining a Trade License, Shops & Establishment registration, and a Fire Safety NOC. You must also adhere to the 2024 Coaching Center Guidelines regarding student age limits and tutor qualifications, and ensure compliance with FEMA reporting for the foreign investment.
