In my view,
NoC if required for Trade License,
Registration under Shop and Establishment
Registration under Professional Taxes
Vat Registration (Voluntory, Composite or as Regular Dealer)
Service Tax Registration if gross receipt crosses 9 lacs
Request your vendors to add your place of warehouses in their VAT RC unless you will be liable to pay Vat on demand goods stored at your places.
Pay Service Tax on Value of Service Charges, Commission and other fees.
Pay Vat if you Sell Goods by your end absolutely...

sir, thanks for your valuable information Ajeet Sab & Gupta ji
i want to sell an elctronic goods(computers, laptops, printers, scanners,spares..etc) through online as a sole properter and deliver goods to end customer after confirmation(COD/ Debit/ credit Cards) . and my friend want to sell groceries, perishible goods/food items, garments in the same site we are planning. we already in final stage to start but a little bit confussion that wheather to club all in one site or my self to start and my friend another site
Only i have some knowledge that is if i sell in same state VAT will be applicable if other state CST applicable.
Kindly assist the following it would be helpful and take a final decision on it
1.How to register in Tax and what are the taxes applicable what type of registrations should i/we need to take..
2) What are to be maintain in accounts,
3) How to manage in partnership accounts and sole propertership
4) what would be the cost for Tax registrations
5) what are the taxes to be paid on mothly/quaterly/half/periodically
6) all the info which i need to start up for online shopping

in personal opinion , i think you should prefer separate web sites and you can promote each other web sites.
Through this you will have larger customer base and can also attarct other advertisors.
Also , if in future things did not fall in places, you can make decision without affecting other website.
2) Books of accountants all books that are normal with business routine, sale ,purchase, day book, stock register, cash book.
3) Intially you can start with Sole properietor ship, it will help you to save Tax, As partnership Firm Attracts Tax @ 30%
4) You can register with vat department for VAt no.
