online Hotel Booking prior 1st july but charged GST at checkin
I have made online booking for hotel prior to 1st July but at the time of hotel checkin hotel made me to pay gst around 3k...is it legal to recover gst fron me as I have already paid taxes before 1st July?

as per point of supply, taxable event will arise earliest of date of payment or date of invoice. In your case as you make payment before 1 st july, taxable event is before 1 july so no gst will be applicable. Bookings on or after 1st july will attract gst. Hence charging 3k from you is illegal.
