One director can hold position in more than one company

At a time a person can be independent non-executive director in 15 companies, no need to take any NOC..

A person can hold directorship in 15 companies max. provided..,

1)He intimates in every company in which he holds such position about all the directiorships in the rest.

2)He intimates the ROC's in the respective jurisdictions and also to the Central Government.

(The ammendment came in 2000 so its prescribes exclusively for those who are holding such positions by that date)
