Old AY 2010 demand rectification

Hi guys,

I am attending some old rectification demands AY 2008, AY 2010

Under Rectification request, AY 2008 does not show.

AY 2010 gives error like... "Error:For the given PAN and AY, Record does not exist."

Kindly help if you know procedure.

2008-09 AY might not be by e filing..Check whether the e filing is done for AY-2008-08.

Rectification through website can be done if the tax filing is done through website.

As per my opinion , the ITR filing might have done through paper form manually in income tax dept

Ok, thank you for clarifying.

Any idea how to file revised returns in this case?

Because I went to file revised return under e-File -> Income Tax Returns -> File Income Tax Return.

Selected AY 2010-11.

But Filing Type dropdown has only 2 options: u/s 92CD or 119(2)(b)...

Only one year revised return can be done online.Past years can be done through AO after satisfying him with his requirements

Sir/ Madam,

How to file a response for the outstanding demand for Asst yr 2010-11, and Asstyr 2011-12 in case there is a tax credit mismatch since there is no online option where I can file a rectification option also approach to Assessing officer regarding the same rectifications has been filed previously still it reflects in portal. How to resolve the issue.
