A private limited company engaged in tea manufacturing business. the main object of the company is blending & packaging of tea.

recently the company has purchased an office space. The company has given the office on rent to other pvt company (have common directors)

letting out the property on rent is not mentioned any where in the object clause of the company neitherancillary nor other objects.

kindly advice what to do to rectify the mistake as the company has already purchased the office in his own name and is about to give the  premises on rent to other pvt companies having common directors..

Dear sneha,

In this situation, if the company is intending to do this on a regular basis, i:e, company has plans to purchase more properties for the purpose of renting, the company will have to alter the object clause.

on the other hand, if this is not the situation, and company has only one property which due to no requirements is vacent, the company can rent out this only by Board Resolution.
