i have an excel file called inword whenever we open it automatically installs a macro in excel it shows value in indian format like crore, lacs etc. and not in million, billion. the only drawback with this is when it converts the number in word format it becomes the text format and the formula is not shown. therefore if there is any change in number this function should again be used. if anyone want this utility, pl. send your email address at subhash.agrawal.ca @ gmail.com

I have downloaded an excel file with modifications for indian rupees you just have to mention the formula for the cell. if g5 = 1234 eg. spellnumber(g5) It will say Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Four Only You can modify it to remove Rupees and paise too.
