Yes I have downloaded an excel file with modifications for indian rupees
you just have to mention the formula for the cell.
if g5 = 1234
eg. spellnumber(g5)
It will say Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Four Only
You can modify it to remove Rupees and paise too.

Don't go for all these stuff and get yourself confused. The message posted by one of the guest within one hr of your message tells it all. A zip file containing an add in and how to install the add in is there on the given address. Just down load and start working. I have installed this and it works fine.
Hi Jayant who is getting confused may I know? All solutions are welcome especially when all of them work - Archana is unable to use the spellnumber function since that is not configured on her MS Office - if you want the macro containing that please click here - Spellnumber Function

Ok, Let me see if I can explain this
1. Open Excel
2. Press Alt+F11
3. Click on Insert - Module
4. Now copy paste the module from the respective website (Use Word Num it works for sure)
5. Dont close any windows just for the time being
6. Go back to excel
7. From Insert - Function - Userdefined Function - select WordNum
8. Enter your number in my number
Its a bit of a chore but it does work.
