Quick Summary
Good news for small businesses! The GST audit exemption, previously for FY 2018-19, has now been extended to FY 2019-20 for taxpayers with an aggregate turnover up to ₹5 crore. This applies specifically to the GSTR-9C audit. Additionally, filing the annual return (GSTR-9) is optional for taxpayers with turnover up to ₹2 crore for FY 2019-20.
