Notice u/s 143(2)

Dear members,
One of my client received notice to produce evidences on Agricultural income electronically on or before a date. However he received the notice only after the due date now the e- proceeding window also closed. So what is the next step? Should he request the AO to reopen the window or Submit documents physically?
