Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether GSTR 9C was a mandatory filing requirement for taxpayers with an aggregate turnover exceeding Rs. 2.00 Crore in the Financial Year 2017-18. According to Rule 80(3) of the CGST Rules 2017, as applicable for that period, businesses meeting this turnover threshold were indeed required to file a duly certified GSTR 9C.

Refer Refer rule 80(3) of the CGST rules 2017 . Check what is rule 80(3) in 2017-18 . Please confirm with others  also .

As per Rule 80(3) as applicable for the F.Y. 2017-18 a registered person whose aggregate turnover exceeds Rs.2.00 Crore rupees has to file GSTR 9C duly certified.
