I received notice under 139(9) error code 31. But now I figured that I didn't show my income under 44AD. Notice clearly says not to change any income heads and if to change then file revised itr. So what should I do, reply under 139(9) or 139(5) as revised. Please help

Dear Gaurav, you should revise your return u/s 139(9)
Simply revise the XML. and upload it in response to u/s 139(9). if it shows error then file revise return.

Just simply fill all the the details including details you earlier missed in relevent form of ITR and upload the revised X M L in resoponse to section 139(9).

Actually I didn't show any income in 44ad. So I think it chose 44aa for my return by default. My profit is > 8% so I don't maintain any Acs and my cash in hand is also 0.
So I want to correc profit under 44ad rather than to fill B/s details
you not need to fill your blance sheet, fill only gross receipt & net profit coloum in ITR-4 .thease coloum are below in P&L account in ITR-4.
