Not filed gst

applied for gst cancellation on 01.01.2020 due to closing of business. still its status showing pending for processing/ assigned to centre. No transaction done after registration. Everytime filed NIL return since its registration.
From May' 2021 no filing done.
received so many notice.
what i can do now as it showing too much late fee and i dont have a single rupee in my pocket ? kindly guide. should i leave it as it is??? will it automatically closed ?

One must file GST returns till the order for cancellation of registration is passed by GST officer

You should consult in gst officer

Check the application status from GST portal.

The registration will get cancelled but whenever you will try to start a new business and apply for a new registration on your PAN, your old incompleted proceedings will start again.
