No.of Appearances after Registration of CPT

With First Registration the CA aspirant has to clear the CPT Exam within a Period of 3 Years. And in this period the student is allowed to take 2 exams within a period of six months i.e. 1 Online Exam and 1 Paper Pencil

Likewise ICAI is continously organising the Online Exams around 6 times a year and 2 Paper Pencil Exams a year i.e in June and December. Student is allowed to take exam 1 Online and 1 Paper Pencil mode within a period of 6 months.

i registered for cpt in december 2009 when i was in my class 11 and i will be appearing for mi cpt in june 2011 after i pass mi class 12 will i also be applicable for this 3 years attempt??

You are eligible for 3 Years attempt but commencing from dec 2009. Now you have lost 2 chances only 4 chances of Offline Paper Pencil CPT Exams are left which will held on June / Dec each year.

Moreover you can take 4 More chances of Online CPT Exams once in 6 months. For which the ICAI organise the Online CPT Exam almost 6 times a year. But you can appear in that only once in 6 months. Thus in total you have 8 chances (4 Offline + 4 Online).

I have also cleared the CPT in October Online CPT Exam

thanks and which all months do they hav the online cpt exam??and since i can attempt 1 online exam for cpt every 6months supppse  i fail in that can i write the written paper immediately or that also i cn write only after 6 months??

Within 6 months you can attemp 1 Online and 1 Offline CPT Exam. If in case you fail in one of them you can go for another attempt whether online/Offline. But remember to fill up the forms within the due date.

For e.g. In April Online Exam will held for which you appear and that result will declared in May where as the last date for submission of form for Offline paper of June is in April. That in that case you will know about the Pass / Fail in May. If you fail than you can't go for June Exam as the last date is over i.e. in April. So if you have any doubt than fillup the Online Form and also Offline Form within Date. If you fail go for June Exam and if not than proceed to IPCC. No need to go for June Attempt.

but in that case you have submit the fees of CPT i.e. Rs. 600/- for both the exams whether attempt for it or it.

Moreover last time ICAI has provide the another feature that if you fill up the Offline CPT Exam on Net. That is the fees is to be transmitted via Net and also the form Online for Offline paper than you got the discount of Rs. 100/-. i.e. you have to pay only Rs. 500/- not Rs. 600/-

 I want to know howmany times can i take cpt exam.I was registered with icai in april 2009 and i have already taken june , december 2009,2010 paper pencil mode . I always hanging on 70-94 Number.I want to know still i have any chance to take cpt exam.

As CPT is required to be completed within the period of 3 years so now you can avail 4 more CPT Exams in 2011 i.e. 2 Paper Pencil Mode and 2 Online CPT Exams.

If I take online Exam once can I swipe to Paper Pencil Mode later..?  What will be the last date for filling forms for Online CPT Exam for April2011.

you can appear 1 online and 1 paper pencil mode in a period of 6 months.. there are unlimited attempts for cpt.. keep logging to CCI and icai.org for dates of application.. 

sorry i don't have any idea about last date for april.
