No extension for TCS returns of 4th quarter

Maharashtra state has been locked down since April 2021 being extended till 15 June. In view of this, various due dates under Income Tax Act have been extended which includes TDS payment and return filing for the last quarter of FY 2020-2021 however excludes TCS. COCTDS has issued intimation for default and levied late filing fee.

It is surprising that TCS due dates were not extended inspite of falling in the criteria as TDS!

Can some one please throw some light on this issue?

Quick Summary
Despite the Maharashtra lockdown and extensions for TDS payments and returns, the deadline for TCS returns for the last quarter of FY 2020-2021 was not extended. This has led to defaults and late filing fees being levied. The discussion questions the reasoning behind this exclusion and explores potential avenues for representation to the government.

Yes, even I wonder why it was not extended! Probably some representation to the govt would be necessary I think.
But when would that happen? What are the chances?
