The govt is charging late fee for 3B in August.
No business in the month but still late fee is to be paid.
First they waive it and then they levy late fees. What is the govt upto?

Even for NIL return it is applicable. The late fee is for filing late not relating to tax due.
It is Late Fee for August. Only 1 Solution, Request Govt. and ICAI and other Stakeholders and Trade Association to Request Govt. to WAIVE OFF the LATE FEES for GSTR 3B AUGUST.

even govt ne mere nil return mai 4800rs ki penalty lgaye hai.
when your return is nil and you know that then why r u still not filing on time. 14 days have passed have u filed return for sep. 20th is last date.
one should remember that every reform takes time. I agree that govt was not prepared and imposed gat in hurry. But now they are trying to amend system while learning from previous mistakes done.

Mr. Anshul i do agree with some of your points, but govt should consider business who file NIL won't be able to pay late fees as its a loss. Atleast for NIL return they shouldn't charge late fee.
Along with that we also have to comply with returns of July at the moment but also file returns for upcoming months. That's a bit tedious in my opinion.

But, it's no logic. Govt can't charge "Interest / Penalty". Govt charge "Late Fee"....!!!

late fee charged in return is a technical issue and gst council already waived late fee for August 17.when this is corrected the late fee paid amounts would be credited to the respective cgst and sgst heads as happened for July 17
