there was a recent amendmend in AS4 which prescribes to show PROPOSED DIVIDEND as a NOTES TO ACCOUNTS
want to confirm whether it will effect Balance Sheet in any way ?
eg. effect reserve and surplus by way of reducing Appropriation of profit ?

Earlier it didn't affect balance sheet cos its a reduction from reserves and addition to current liability. (I.e, nullifies the impact)
as per revised AS 4 it has to be shown in notes to accounts instead of liability
so my question was that now it should not be adjusted in reserve too !?
