New features launched by income tax dept for efiling
New facility added in "My Account" allows registered E-filers to View the Tax Credit Statement (Form 26AS) to verify if the tax payments made by you or TDS deducted from salary or interest etc are correctly reported to the Department. This is crucial to ensure that you receive complete and accurate tax credit for tax payments and TDS reported by you in the I-T return.

yes. this is very helpful. Also a source of worry.
In my case tds of about 50,000/- was deducted by various clients.
i find that i have credit for 26,000/only in 26AS. I can file the tds returns of the remaining clients
and take credit.
think of the persons who cannot do this. esply contractors, recvng tds from govt depts.who generally default in filing tds returns. They will go mad seeing their 26AS.
