Hi,

Im Varun from Bangalore. Currently working at Amazon development centre India Pvt. Ltd as a Risk investigator. I was persuing CS 2 years ago, however I quit and joined Amazon and its been 2 years now and its going pretty good.

However, now i feel the need to study more since Im only a b.com graduate and I dont see a future holding just an undergraduate degree. I'd like to continue my CS studies again however Im skeptical about the job opportuinities ill have considering the field im working in currently is totally different and it would take atleast 2.5 years for me to complete CS from now whereas id be earning much more than the freshers job id get after completing cs.

Please guide me as to what I should do.

Thanks,

Varun

Hi varun, i am working as manager internal audit in muscat. I would suggest u to do some course related to risk management from institute of internal auditors -iia. And to suppliment that u can do cpa also. Cpa is easier than cs and less time taking. Besides this cpa holds better prospect. If u want to further discuss please mail me ur number on deveshomprakash @ gmail.com

I aggree with  MR.  Dev Prakash  CPA is easier than  CS AND CA, May be.  But to score 75 perecent in  CPA is also difficult.

Go For ACCA Now a days when  IFRS is implementing in India  , ACCA should  be demanded.

and easy to pass than CS, CA AND CPA.

Please guide me for this course. CPA and ACCA

ACCA and  CPA , Both have a good demand in International Market as well as in India.

ACCA is now in demand because of IFRS Demand is increasing day by day in BIg 4 and Because of  International Taxation  Introduced in CA Course as well.

ACCA , Association of Certified Chartered Accountant  ( U.K ) . accaglobal.com and accacareers.com for their salary.  Exams are conducting In India and graduates and CA Inter can Claim Exemption in 4 or 5 papers, have a reputation In Indian Market. There are 14 Exams

Exam. or CPA , Certified Public Accountant , USA  First Accounting Body of the World , NO.1 Recognition in all over the world  Exams conducting in  U.S or Dubai and not In India.

There are only 4 exams. one of the toughest Course but Result percentage is 40 %

Varun, it is quite natural for youngsters like you to think, that you may not be paid a good compensation as a fresher once you qualify as a Company Secretary, this appears to be a misnomer. You should not equate the obtaining of professional degree to the monetary benefits always. It is a wishful thinking of drawing handsome salary in the initial years just with your Bcom qualification, but please look life beyond 10 or 20 years, will the same degree be helping you to sustain your needs as you grow. Please ponder over it, there is something called saturation in life one will reach, so then what next at that point in time. Can you turn the clock back and get back to pursue your studies then?

In hindsight everything looks pretty, but you need to take a call based on the present situation you are in right now. Always, have a vision for yourself as to what you would like to see yourself in the next 5 - 10 years down the line. Introspect, you will get the answer.

Wish you good luck.

Dont wast ur tym and money in CS

Yes, Even I would suggest you to pursue CPA. its comparitively easy, and has good prospects for growth. Good Luck!
