List of All-Time Top 15 Indian Web Series

I've watched a lot of Indian web series over the years, but only a few have really stuck with me. So I decided to make my own top 15 Indian web series of all time.

This ranking is purely based on my personal taste. I'm not saying these are objectively the best shows ever made. These are simply the shows I enjoyed the most and would happily recommend to someone looking for a good Indian web series.

Best Top 15 Indian Web Series

1. Mirzapur
For me, Mirzapur is still the benchmark when it comes to Indian crime web series. I remember getting completely hooked once I started watching it. The characters, violence, dark humour and unexpected moments kept me glued to the screen. It just has that "one more episode" feeling.

2. Kota Factory
I didn't expect a series about students and competitive exams to affect me this much. Kota Factory feels very real, especially when it shows the pressure, friendships and confusion young people go through. It's simple, but that's exactly what I like about it.

3. Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story
I went into Scam 1992 thinking a show about the stock market might be boring. I was completely wrong. I ended up getting deeply invested in the story. The writing, performances and music were so good that even the financial details felt interesting.

4. The Family Man
This is one of those shows where I enjoyed almost everything — the action, comedy, family drama and suspense. What makes it special for me is how normal Srikant Tiwari feels despite the crazy situations around him. The balance between his work and family life makes the show very relatable.

5. TVF Pitchers
Pitchers has a special place on my list because of its friendship and "let's do something with our lives" feeling. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the characters. Even if you're not interested in startups, I think the struggles and ambitions of the characters are easy to connect with.

6. Gullak
I love how Gullak doesn't need huge twists or dramatic action to keep me interested. It's basically about everyday family life, but somehow those small moments feel very familiar. It often reminds me of the little things that happen in an Indian household.

7. Paatal Lok
I went into Paatal Lok expecting another crime thriller, but it turned out to be much deeper than that. I liked how it slowly revealed the characters and the world behind the investigation. It's dark and sometimes uncomfortable, but that's also what makes it so memorable for me.

8. Panchayat
Panchayat is one of my favourite shows when I simply want to sit back and enjoy something. The humour feels natural rather than forced, and the characters genuinely grow on you. By the end, I felt like I actually knew the people in that village.

9. Kohrra
What I liked most about Kohrra was its slow and serious approach. It doesn't rush to give you all the answers. I enjoyed trying to figure out what was happening while also watching the personal problems of the characters unfold. It's the kind of crime series that stays in your head after an episode ends.

10. Sacred Games
Sacred Games was one of the first Indian web series that really made me think, "Indian OTT can do this?" I loved the atmosphere, characters and unpredictability. It felt very different from the usual Indian TV shows I had seen before.

11. Asur
The combination of crime, mythology and psychology immediately caught my attention. I liked trying to connect the clues and understand where the story was going. It isn't perfect, but the concept was interesting enough to keep me watching.

12. Bandish Bandits
This one made my list because it offered something different. I really enjoyed the music and the contrast between traditional Indian classical music and modern influences. The romance and family drama also worked well for me.

13. The Railway Men
This was an emotional watch for me. Knowing that the story is connected to the Bhopal gas tragedy made the events even more difficult to watch. I liked how the series focused on ordinary people trying to help others during an unimaginable situation.

14. Special OPS
I have always enjoyed a good spy thriller, and Special OPS gave me plenty of suspense to keep going. Himmat Singh is the main reason I enjoyed the show. I liked his character and the way the investigation slowly developed.

15. Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya
I know this might be an unexpected entry for some people, but that's exactly why I wanted to include it. I enjoyed its simple and quirky style. It may not have the scale of some of the other shows here, but I had a good time watching it, and that's enough reason for me to put it on my personal list.

Final Thoughts

If I had to recommend only three Indian web series, I'd probably pick Mirzapur, Scam 1992 and The Family Man. But honestly, choosing only three is difficult.

My ranking is based more on how much I enjoyed each series and how strongly I remember it, rather than ratings or awards.

I'm sure some of you will disagree with this list — especially with my top 5. 😄
