Had brought a resale flat in sep'13 with actual carpet area of 700 sqf. Kolkata municipal Corporation taxes were paid on Super Build up (SBU) area of 825 sqf (25 pc higher than carpet area) from june'07 till mar'14. However in sale deed of mine (as well as the 1st sale deed), 1025 sqf was mentioned as super build up area. While I am in the process of mutation of teh said property, KMC have said that I have to settle the o/s unpaid tax on 200 sqf (1025 sqf- 825 sqf) from june'07-mar'14, before mutation completion. I don't feel, I am liable to pay at least till 'sep'13. Plz suggest my action henceforth.
