Dear Sir,

in a proprietorship liable to tax audit. we have taken godown on rent.
please suggest
Can we pay 10000/-monthly rent in Cash. 2. Can we need to deduct TDS.

If rent is less than 240000 pa then no tds deduction required
1) Yes, you may pay rent in cash up to ₹10k (per day) 2) No TDS because it is within threshold limit of ₹2.4 lacs pa

Yes you can pay 10000 rupees in cash of rent in a single day.

No, TDS should not be deducted in this case as it is less than threshold limit

yes you can pay Rs. 10k in one day and no need to deduct and deposit TDS below 240000 per annum.
