Modification in designation of director

File form DIR-12 with MCA Portal and the details are available in the portal

I saw that form but it seems to be for change in designation but in this case there no change but a mistake while original filing

Kindly let me know the what are the forms you have filed for appointment of Managing Director.

After filing DIR-12, File Form MR-1 within 60 days of passing of resolution. (Section-196) to get status of additonal director changes to Managing director

Being Private Limited Company, Sub section 4 and 5 of section 196 are not applicable, hence not required to file MR-1. Need to file DIR-12 and MGT-14 as per Section 117 of CA, 2013.

Though it is mistake, you can not file Dir-12 showing that as appointment, if you do that his name appearce twice in view signatory details as Additional Director and Managing Director simultaniously.

Hence, legally it may not correct but but practically it is feasable, select as change in designation and mention original date of appointment and select as MD and file form DIR-12 and MGT-14.
