Missed the deadline to reply to notice from cpc

Hi All,

Need a help please regarding my notice from CPC. There was an inconsistency mentioned between other source income and form 26AS. The inconsistency mentioned was because of the PF amount submitted by my previous employer, which was mentioned in form 26AS but was nowhere mentioned in my PF statements which I got from them. It was also not mentioned in my form 16. I do not think that the amount was submitted to my PF account.

The amount mentioned in 26AS for inconsistency was 12558 and TDS was also mentioned as 1256.

I raised this query with my previous emloyer, I have not yet got any response from them. But I have missed to reply to notice within 30 days now. 

Could someone help me, what I can do now.

You can put request taking reference of CPC from your end before second intimation pops in.

Though interest will increase with no. of days of delay.

Int levy starts from end of 30 days due date of notice.

Thankyou for help. Coud you please suggest how I can put the request as the submit link to respond in e-proceeding is now disabled. 

The procedure to provide your response is as follows:

a) Please log on to www://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ with your user ID and password.

b) Go to E-proceeding tab -> E assessment/proceedings link

c) In order to submit your response, click on the submit hyperlink under Response column --->>> This is disabled now as deadline is passed.
