Missed showing 1 bank account in itr

ITR 323 views 3 replies

My wife's gross income is Rs 90000 for which I have filed the ITR just now. She is having 2 bank accounts. One Bank account is in the city where I live and was opened after her marriage and another is in another city, which was opened before her marriage, but has a very small account balance of just Rs 15000. Now while filing ITR by mistake she has shown just one account which was opened after her marriage and she has missed showing another account.

During the year there are very small transactions in another account and savings account interest is not more then Rs 200 P.A. Is it ok, that she has missed showing another account or there will be some query in future? It is not possible to file revised return now, as I have taken the help of CA to file returns and there will be fees to file it. Please advise. Thank you.

Its advisable to revise the return, because in case of any query raised, it will be more costier than just revising the return now. Had in been in-operative account, you have an excuse for not declaring it, but ..

I think the CA will not charge heavy (even oblige by not charging anything) for just addition of bank account in the same uploaded file, for which he has already been paid.

Thank you for your reply. Is it ok, if I close it at earliest.?

You have enough time period i.e end of March 2019.
