I am a salaried employ with a private company. I have received form 16 where Total Income after all dedcutation (HRA,Conveyance, LIC, 80C etc) is 6,00,000. This is the total taxable income as per form 16. However in my form 26 AS Total amount paid is 475000. TDS deposited amount is 50000, which is same in both form 16 and 26AS.
Please suggest me which income should I consider as total Taxable income while filling the return.
You please fill according to actual figures applicable to you as per salary slip, if form 16 is matching then its ok as its possible 26as is still not updated.
You need to fill the figures based on your Form 16 as the same is the actual figures.
Fill the details as per form16. Was it that tax was deducted for only few months that is it was to say the 80 c deductions were shown at a later stage and hence tax was not required to be deducted then. In such case that difference may arise
