MGT 7A AND MGT 7

A private limited co. with a turnover of more than Rs.20 Cr and paid up capital of Rs.75 Lakhs.

When I am filling MGT-7 for the company it throws an error please fill MGT-7A it is a small co.

When I am filling MGT-7A for the same company it throws an error turnover more than Rs.20 Cr please file MGT-7.

Therefore, unable to proceed with any of the forms MGT-7 or MGT-7A. (ideally Form MGT-7 should be applicable)

TIA.

Quick Summary
A private limited company with a turnover exceeding Rs. 20 Cr is encountering a technical issue when trying to file its annual returns. The system prompts for MGT-7A for small companies, but then rejects it due to the high turnover. Conversely, attempting to file the standard MGT-7 form is also blocked. This appears to be a technical glitch on the MCA portal, possibly due to the Rs. 20 Cr threshold being incorrectly applied to both forms. The user has raised a ticket with the MCA but is awaiting a response.

Yes awaiting the reply from th

From 1/4/2021  small  company  =  Paid up capital  2 crore or less  and turnover  20 crore or less .

Yes I know but it is not allowing to file any of the Forms neither MGT-7 nor MGT-7A (for small companies)

This is technical error on the part of MCA technical team ideally MGT 7A should have been filed . As suggested supra raise ticket and also talk to help line. in fact MCA technical team had bracket Rs 20 CR in both forms i.e. upper limit for MGT 7A and also for MGT 7

Thank you for your feedback. Have raised a ticket from past 5 days but no revert from MCA. Also since the turnover is more than 20 crores MGT-7 should be applicable.
