I am a Ships Crew working onboard Foreign flagged Vessels.Can you please advise my residential status on the basis of below information.
My sea service has been as follows for the financial Year.
Ship 1 Panama Flag - 60 Days
Salary- In USD.
Port of joining -Qatar
Port of Disembarkation- Qatar
Ship 2 Panama Flag -100 days
Salary- In USD.
Port of joining-Uk
Port of Disembarkation-Poland
Ship 3 Bahamas Flag-60 Days
Salary- In INR(16 lk plus).
Port of joining India
Port of Disembarkation is not fixed as I am still onboard,it may be India or Singapore.
Also I Stayed in Sri Lanka for 24 days after my sign off from Ship no 2
My querry from respected members is that.
1)Can I add the 24 days spent in Sri Lanka as a tourist days to my total NRI days?
2)Is the Sea service performed on Ship 3 Taxable,even if I sign off in Singapore.Will it be an eligible Voyage?
