Newly CAs are being issued Membership nos in the range of 150000-151000 right now. Then how can somebody have a membership of say 400520. I just checed on the website of ICAI and this is being issued to some CA who enrolled for membership in 2002. Strange!!

maybe but don't think so I found a person from Rajasthan and Bihar one beside each other in the 4 lac series.. not sure
