Peculiar Features of any Mediocre Firm :

1. There will be only one office. At maximum there will be 2-3 offices. There will be only one main office. Others are maintained to get state specific assignments. Some states like Himachal Pradesh prefers only CA firms from Himachal Pradesh.

2. There will be no well defined HR department.Generally, receptionist will handle the HR work in mediocre firms.

3. There will be no advanced online method of maintaining attendence of CA articles, staff who are on the client's office, doing any assignment.

4. There will be no preference for the professional development of articles and continued learning processes work at the firm level.

5. There will be no evaluation of performance of an article.

6. There will be no specific IT department. There will be no dedicated servers.There will be no strict application of restriction policy for the usage of Internet.

7.  There will bo no audits of Listed Companies.

8. Banking assisgnment will mainly include, concurrent audits for medium bank branches. The Scheduled Commercial Braches will never go for medium CA firm. A medium firm will never be the statutory auditor of any Nationalised/Foreign Bank.

9. Office will be simple. Few cubicles. Few articles.Printers will be in shortage.

10. Wifi will be available to only Partners.

11. The Main Partner will not have Mercedes, BMW. He will be an owner of the Honda city.

12. Everybody will talk to everybody. There will be less politics. There will be less pressure.Working Hours will be relatively easy. Seniors will be helpful.

13. Stipend will be normal.The dress code for formal wear will not be strict in reality.

14. You can impress the partner easily because of less competition as compared to Big4.This will help you to get leaves easily.

15. There will be time lag for the clearance of various bills.

16. Articles will have to track various bank braches and submit challans. Articles will have to stand in long queues at the IT office and submit bulk returns during return filing period.Articles will have to go to the files area and they would have to search for old files as per the demand of CA. Article will have to find the specific Challan photocopy from 1000 files, which article had no relation with.
