How can a person be both managing director as well as chief executive officer of the company at the same time..?
As MD and Ceo both have same roles that is managing the daily affairs of the company and to build strategies..
I know that chairman and md can be same if mentioned in the articles of the company...
My query took birth as I came to know that Mr Pawan munjal is both MD and Ceo of hero Moto Corp..
As per the provisions of the Companies Act 2013, a CEO can be the Director or the Managing Director of the Company but to qualify the position of Managing Director, one has to be the Director first. The person can be appointed as the Additional Director of the Company and can be regularized in the AGM as the managing Director.
Basic rule say that to become the Managing Director, person has to be appointed as Director first
