Agreement deeds 2317 views 3 replies

We have a NA land in name of our father in Gujarat. What is the maximum number of year we can have a Leave and license agreement and what would be the stamp duty incurred?

Generally 11months, can be more than that. The duration of the lease must be clearly mentioned with or without a provision for further renewal of the same. On expiry of the said period, the lease stands determined until and unless it is renewed further.

Stamp duy varies from state to state you will have to take help of local lawyer who can draft the same to you and get it notrised if its for 11 months and if it is above 11 months in my opinion will be go for registeration and if for more then 3 years then execute a Lease deed

Dear sir,

Lease is different from leave and licence agreement ,in lease both hv to sign but in licence it is only the licencor will sign.it is a licence granted to do a particular act and the same can be revoked  at any time by the grantor. no registration is required according to me in Tamil nadu,I think on that aspect u pl check your message state laws.
