Maternity expense (cesarean)

Hello,

My friend has a Cesarean expense. She's not working and her husband company do not have any policy to reimburse such expense. Is there any way to get this expense deducted in ITR? or possible with section 80DDB?

80ddb is for deduction regarding expenses relating to specified diseases and in your case it is not a disease, therefore this expense is not eligible for deduction u/s 80ddb.... under income tax there are no other sections that provide deduction of such expense.
