a director has to compulsorily obtain DIN by filing the form online. The DIN gets generated immediately. Without DIN he shall be deemed to have vacated his office.
Yes, a Director can be appointed as a Diector without DIN but after appointment he compulsory needs to obtain DIN within two months of appointment.
He can legally work for two months if his application for DIN is pending.
Non- obtaining of DIn after the expiry of two months shall result in vacation of office.
