THE MAN BEHIND THE GLORY

India are the world champions, the men in blue have been immortalised and one of the men behind this huge success who has driven this team is Gary Kirsten, a man who has said he will quit this job after the World Cup.

As MS Dhoni brought home the Cup with a six, Kirsten jumped up in the dressing room. When he took over the reins of the side, his promise was to take India to the zenith and he has done it. He's kept his promise and Indian cricket and its players will feel a void in case the BCCI fails to pursuade him to stay on.

While the Indian players have been basking in the glory and limelight, it has been the tireless efforts of the backroom staff including Kirsten to ensure that the elevn that represent our nation are in prime shape.

Over the past 18 months the Indian team has attained unimaginable success, won all possible trophies which were at one point of time were an elusive dream for the Indian outfit. Where one might credit the success to the form of the playing eleven and how the team now has proven match-winners, it has been Kirsten's astute man-management and his vision with MS Dhoni and co. that has made the Indian team to what it has been.

After Greg Chappell's departure the Indian team went on without a coach and won the 2007 T20 World Cup, but what the South Afican has brought to the team is the clinical finishing it lacked. Players like Ishant Sharma, Yusuf Pathan and more recently Ravichandran Ashwin have prospered under the guidance of the Indian coach.

In Bert Lance's words "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". But Gary improved upon a unit and made them look like an outfit who now have the potential to dominate world cricket like the Aussies did for a decade.

The BCCI must do everything to keep him back. Imagine a domination where India go Down Under 2015 and successfully defend their title. Is that moment of high not one to stay on for.

Thank u sooo much gary..............:)

India love uuuuuuuu...........

Miss u toooooo in future.............;(
