I think, better option is Tally. Single user version of tally will not cost you much, but it will of great use for you.

just entred income items on one sheet and expenditure item on other sheet then sort as capital and revenue eaxpenditure and you can simple get profit or loss

aap agar excel me accounts maintain karna chahte ho to mainly aap sale, puchases,sundry debtors,sundry creaditors,cash,bank. ke alag leadger banane honge but agar aap kisi software me yeh kaam karte ho to aap tally,busy me easily kar sakte ho entry pass karne ki jaroorat hai excel me log way me jakar pura record maintain karna hoga small business ke liye aap excel use kar sakte hai but jahan large transcation ho wahan aapko software use karna hoga kyun ki wahan se aapko upto date har cheej milegi just a pass entry.............

aap tally,busy ka trail version use kar sakte hai........sikhne ke liye
