MAFA June 2009 was a joke!

The June 2009 MAFA paper was a joke! I mean anyone who has passed PE2/PCC would be able pass this paper with their eyes closed. I havent even looked at my MAFA book properly and i would have easily scored enough to get an exemption. I mean is this the standard that ICAI looks to? Seriously, CA will become a joke at this rate, with every tom d**k and harry passing out not because they study well but because of such elementary papers. Any comments?

You will see the valuation, how it may get tougher!!!!!!!

Ha ha ha.. Good Joke... Think u dint write June 2009 Exams. did u? Have u seen the other papers? Accounts, any accounts professor may have to think a lot!.. Mafa, if at all it was easy, It was just easy to handle., we can say nothing till results come.. It might b just a message from the institute, not to worry!!... Auditing - after first 32 marks, It was a bit of a disaster.. Law was at usual standard., Costing- i can tell nothing. . :( .. MICS, however it is, It s like walking on a razor! Dt, IDT was at usual standards...

It just happened that in latest campus, nearly a thousand newly qualified CAs went out empty hands to find their own off campus placements... and we, being the very next attempt were struck up now.. seems they r gonna filter more ppl this time!!..

As far as i know, this time, questions were mostly from "C" category topics that students give less importance.. and it happened so that "C" category in MAFA was easier than other categories!... U cannot score an exemption hands down yaar.. Of course EVeryone this time are expecting 60+ in MAFA., Lets see how many get it actually... In exams, i could see some twists in almost all questions., obviously, i dono if i was right in all answers..

Don worry Samvit, Any Tom, Dick and Harry cannot clear CA... There is and has always been the surprise element in valuation., and June 09 and Nov09, There sure is gonna be more filtering..

And note teh point, ICAI has got a stay order in giving away copies of valued papers to students on RTI act!!...

So, first lets see if a Samvit or Krishna clears it out before blindly claiming any Tom , Dick , and Harry to clear the exams!!.. :)

dude ..for  ur kind information results have not been declared. First check the results then "omment"

Hey, you are missing one point , Easier the paper tougher to score....

Scoring in MAFA will now be entirely based on presentation !!!!!! Further, no one is going to become chartered by just scoring exemption in MAFA, there are seven other subjects too!!!! u forgot them. In Nov 2008 attempt , except account paper all other three papers were average, still the passing percentage of 1st grp had fallen drastically as compared to that of MAY 2008. So, do not get so excited until the results are announced !!!!!!

Iam sure you have not written the exam, and thats why you are commenting on the paper. Just go and write accounts of may 2009 accounts, if valuation was too easy then look at amalgamation, the dreadliest question. Unless you have solved such questions before the exams, i can gaurantee that no 1 can solve such a problem in exam conditions. So dont take the institute so easily instead thank god that institute is showing some grace by atleast giving 1 such paper's to score exemption or else the effort of 3 months in exams will be ruined.

well said, karthikeyan...

Guys... when the exam paper is so easy, expect the valuation to be tougher. Where you expect 70, you might end up with 45 or 50.... no surprise. If you are 100% sure and a rank candidate expecting in 70s or 80s, then you might still get that (as I assume your level of answering them would be to such quality). Even for them, it might be less than expected. I am not sure if Institute has a process of rationalization meaning, cutting the marks across where valuation / qp is very easy and considering them adding when the paper is a disaster.... Expect those.....
