Yes it is true there is no single book which covers MAFA syllabus. For capital budgeting work out a variety of problems. For port folio analysis get a separate book - especially those ones by sultan chand are great. For derivatives also there are stand alone books in the market, if possible get the chapter on derivatives in the book by pattabhiram xeroxed (snow white) It is good in its explanation. For the rest simply pray to the god of your choice and hope they dont set questions from outside the syllabus. :)
YES, IT IS TRUE THAT THERE IS NO 1 BOOK FOR MAFA.  INFACT, THERE IS NO SUBJECT LIKE MAFA IN REALITY.  IT IS A COMBINATION OF VARIOUS SUBJECTS.

I RECOMMEND THE BOOKS WHICH I AM USING:

A) MAFA BY PATTABHIRAM (FROM PRIME ACADEMY CHENNAI),
B) MAFA BY SN MAHESHWARI,
C) FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (ELEMENTARY AND ADVANCED) BY VAN HORNE,
D) FINANCIAL ANALYSIS BY BEARY,
E) COST AND MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING BY COLIN DRURY.
If u r in delhi then u can take help of Rajesh Makkar and Ashish Kalra sir's classes. they r one of the best teacher in delhi for mafa
@ Harry

Remove name of Ashish Kalra from that list.
He does not deserve that.

Just making a good book on notes and making students to rattafy that does not help students.
Even we can compile questions from various books and past exams to prepae books.
hello Geet sorry but i'm totally satisfy by Ashish kalra book. Although i'm not taking their classes but he is really a nice teacher. I'm studing mafa from their notes with xerox copy of my friends register.
Hey Buddy

I am not talking about book.
No doubt, book is good ( It must be when it is COMPILED from so many other sources).

But he is not a great teacher.
Thats my personal opinion.

Students have a lot of expectations b4 joining AK classes.

At the end of batch, you get nothing but disappointment.
sorry yaar ho sakta hai tumhe wo achche na lagte ho but i think he is a good teacher of mafa subject holding fine personality, good communication skill providing all the covered area's while teaching. His book and concepts is sufficient to clear this exam. There r so many student who are taking classes from him and satisfied also. i m not understanding y r u not thinking him as a good teacher. I've taken their classes in PE-II till then i respect them.

hey can neone submit me notes of Ashish Kalra on my mail id ajforever18 @ gmail.com if possible.

i do not agree with ur comments on ashish kalra sir because i hv studied CA final mafa classes from ashish kalra sir. he is not just good but he is the best in his subject. actions speak louder than words, which is very much true in his case. just have a look at his results. in june 2009 attempt itself, he has got 15 rank holders, one of them is all india rank 3 holder. rank 1 and rank 2 are not delhi student and she is the top ranker in northen india with highest marks 94 in MAFA . i think that some persons with fake ID, who is not a genuine student of his are trying to defame him but his fame is beyond any comprision to such remarks. he is an honest and a dedicated teacher, mentor of thousands of students. this view is not solely my personal view but the view of all the students who have studied or are studying from him.
