Luxury tax
I would like to ask whether hotels in gujarat are required to pay for luxury tax on revenue from hotel rooms?
if yes then what are the prescribed rates ?

yes it is applicable. Kindly refer to The Gujarat Tax on Luxuries (Hotels and Lodging Houses) Act, 1977 at https://www.lawsofindia.org/pdf/gujarat/1977/1977GUJARAT24.pdf
