While filling the ITR2, how do we show the LTCG gains. I have downloaded the trading sheet for 2018-19 from ICICI direct. However the ITR2 does not allow one to fill individually all the trades during the financial year. Since there is a change in calculation because of grandfathering of gains, it is not possible to put the consolidated figure for sale and purchase price in the excel sheet.
Please guide on how to fill ITR2 for sale and purchase of shares for LTCG.
For each scriptt its sale value, cost of acquisition as on purchase or GFV, and net profit is to be ascertain separately.
Aggregate value of these to be filled in each column to get finally same gain as per the sheet.
Also revised itr utility has been made available, download latest utility and use it
Sir, for calculating LTCG on shares u/S 112A where large no. of scrips ,each having several sale transactions are involved, is it possible to get a pre-programmed EXCEL sheet which can be downloaded from any source? or will I have to design and formulate such EXCEL sheet myself ?
